Evolution of the CR-400 model, incorporates SIM and SmartCard slots. With the first, it opens the door to access SIM cards from mobile phones, allowing to manage the information contained therein, through an application included in the CD that accompanies the reader.

The SmartCard slot allows you to read smart cards, such as electronic DNI (DNIe) so that we can centralize on our PC arrangements that until recently reclaim our presence.

As a flash card reader, the CR-600 is very complete, supporting the most common formats, including high-capacity SDHC and microSDHC.
In addition, it has slots to work with small cards such as microSD and MS micro without adapters.

Its operating system level compatibility is also wide, supporting Windows from XP, MAC OS X and Linux from kernel 2.4

SIM editing applications are currently available only for Windows environments.

As for its use as a DNIe reader, it requires the installation of additional downloadable software from the page www.dnielectronico.es

Finally, indicate that it has a front USB2.0 port.

Solution for Windows 7 problem

The problem seems to be due to the conflict between the card reader chipset software controller and the Windows internal controller for smartcard readers. Important: The driver included with the reader is valid (maybe it was a driver that did not serve for Windows 7, but it is not.

The solution is:

1.- Press the right mouse button on the Team icon (on the desktop) and select the Manage option.
2.- In the Device Manager, click on the device with problems (Infrared Receiver andHome (or similar)).
3.- Select the option Update Driver Software.
4.- In the open window, click on Find driver software on your computer.
5.- Now, select "Choose a list of device drivers on your computer".
6.- Two devices appear. eHome infrarred receiver (USBCIR) and USB Composite Device. Choose USB Composite Device and go on.
7.- This concludes the process. Now you can try the reader.
